Fuengirola – a lively town with guaranteed sunshine

Fuengirola is one of the most popular seaside resorts on the Costa del Sol. The town is all about tourism, especially in the summer months.

The resort of Fuengirola borders directly on the two towns of Benalmádena and La Cala de Mijas. It takes about 20 minutes by car to get to Málaga Airport (24 km). You can also quickly reach Fuengirola by train (Cercanías Málaga). Line C-1 stops at two stations.

Fuengirola used to be a small fishing village, today almost 75,000 people live here. In the summer months there are thousands more. Many foreigners (mainly British, Irish, Finns and Swedes) have settled here permanently.
